of Jim Thorpe, the Lehigh River cuts a steep gorge through the western
Poconos. The eastern face of Broad Mountain looks down on the river
from about 800 feet up, and there are dramatic overlooks wherever
cliffs or rocks break through the tree cover. Here's Mike (seated),
with a fellow biker we met riding on the trail, at one of the overlooks
(late April 1993).
